Welcome to Alameda County

Alameda County is the first county across the San Francisco Bay Bridge as you enter Oakland. Consisting of 739 square miles plus 82 square miles of water, it borders Contra Costa County on the north and eastern boarders including the Livermore Valley region. Flanked on the east by the Diablo Range, it ranges from intensely urban areas to sparsely populated portions in the southeast. Alameda County is home to Berkeley, one of the iconic landmarks of the area, the Oakland A’s baseball, and Oakland Raiders.
